A watchful eye on the weather, water and what’s happening around you helps ensure every trip is smooth and fun.
If you were born after January 1, 1988, Florida requires a Boater Safety ID Card to operate a motorized vessel. Good news: the course is free, quick and available online. Once you’re certified, you’re set for life.
Our team also reviews safety basics before every outing, so you feel confident and ready to enjoy the water.
Southwest Florida has some of the most beautiful waterways, filled to the brim with incredible wildlife. The protected seagrass beds are a natural habitat for baby fish, while the open waters house dolphins and manatees. Waterfront properties and condos flank the coastline and are indeed wonders of their own kind.
Traveling north of our marina you can reach New Pass, with easy access to three beaches, including the famous Dog Beach. The perfect spot for a picnic on the beach, or to head into the gulf on one of our Hurricane Deck Boats!
And “Big” it is indeed! The north end of Lover’s Key is a great spot to stop on the beach, after you pass under the newly constructed bridge. Lover’s Key is considered one of the best beaches in SWFL There is plenty of sand, and serves as another great way to head into the gulf and cruise alongside Fort Myers Beach. Flipper’s on the Bay features difficult docking, but food well worth it.
No deck boat? No problem! Gulf-access is not needed to go to Fort Myers Beach, you can cruise inside the intercoastal waterways all the way to Matanza’s Pass. There you can dock in Downtown Fort Myers Beach and dine at any of the local eats. You’ll want a full day on the water for this fun excursion!
Northeast of our marina you’ll find access to the Imperial River. This will take you along Bonita Bay where the grandeur of retirement life shines brightly. This is also a great spot to fish along the mangroves for some mangrove snapper, although you may snag a “Sail Cat”! Further east you can even end up in Historic Downtown Bonita Springs – local culture and restaurants draw a warm crowd!
Southbound and down! Wiggins Pass is at the north end of Delnor-Wiggins State Park. Here a small beach hugs the southernmost pass to the gulf. Lovely fishing spots line your journey down there, and you’ll find a nice restaurant hidden away a further little south for lunch – Buzz’ Lighthouse.
